The first sponsor of the 2014 Commonwealth Games has been named as the Glasgow law firm Harper Macleod.
The company has signed up for what is called 'tier two' sponsor.
It will provide a range of services including legal support in commercial contracts, sponsorship, broadcasting, the fight against doping and licenses.
Glasgow 2014 chairman, Lord Smith, said the agreement shows that compared to previous games in Glasgow was the "vanguard".
He added: "To get sponsors on board in this economic climate has its challenges, but in Glasgow in 2014 has a good story to tell companies that Harper Macleod could not wait to be formally associated with us in this way."
Glasgow game is expected to increase more than 20 million pounds through sponsorship structure of three levels.
The agreement with the law firm is the first to be announced within the next three weeks.
Everyone who is believed to be worth around £ 1m.
